Hey Reader - The White House. Not exactly the place you expect someone to be using a $200 camera as a photographer at The White House. But that’s exactly what I brought to the Easter Egg Roll in 2016 and 2017. People always ask me what gear I used for events like that. They expect some crazy setup. Something expensive. The truth is… it was the opposite. Because when you’re working an event like that, nothing can fail. You’ve got Secret Service. Security everywhere. Signals getting blocked. Wireless that you can’t trust. There’s no room for “hopefully this works.” So I stripped everything down. No unnecessary tech. No fragile connections. No complexity. It had to be wired. It had to be simple. And it had to be fast. So I built a system that could take a photo and print it in seconds. No delays. No guesswork. No failure points. Just click… and done. And that’s exactly what it did. All day. For the White House staff. Mission accomplished. That experience taught me something most people get backwards. It’s not about having the best gear. It’s about having what works. Because when it really matters… Simple wins! Talk to ya tomorrow, ~ Scott P.S.
